July Love With Food Review

I adore Love with Food.  The box itself is smaller than most of my other subscriptions, but almost everything they send is brand new to me.  No matter what they wind up sending, I feel like $12 is a decent price to get to diversify my pantry.

This month's theme is "Fun on the Boardwalk."

Lord Nut Levington Rebel Mary Peanuts: ($.50) These peanuts are spicy bloody mary flavored.  I'm not crazy for peanuts, so I haven't yet worked up the nerve to try these yet.

Vermont Smoke and Cure RealSticks: ($.62) J sampled this and commented that it doesn't taste any different than a SlimJim, except BBQ flavor.  These have less fat and salt than most meat sticks, though.

Twangerz Snack Toppings: (~$.41)  I remember in middle school, Lucas salts were all the rage.  I also remember some guys snorting it in the back of one of the science labs.  Anyway, these are the same as Lucas.  I put some of the pickle salt on popcorn and devoured it.

Uncle Henry's Pretzels: ($.38)   These suckers are crunchy.  I mean can't-hear-a-damn-thing-while-you're-eating-one crunchy.  I feel like most store-bought pretzels don't taste like much beyond the salt that's on them - but these actually taste amazing.

Nature's Bakery Fig Bar: ($3.50) Yum.  The cookie part is super soft and tasty and there is actually a decent amount of filling in this.

Kukuruza Popcorn: ($2.70) Himalayan Salted Caramel deliciousness.  I'm a popcorn fiend and this is quite possibly the best caramel corn I have had.

Necco Candy Wafers and Angel Mint Salt Water Taffy: ($.70)  For some reason, I forget that I like salt water taffy, then I get some and go crazy for it for a while, then forget about it again.

Again, the value is around $9, which is a bit less than what you pay per month.  Love with Food also donates meals to those in need for each box you buy, so I call it even.
