Spring 2015 Walmart Beauty Box Review

The Box: Walmart Beauty
The Price: $5 every quarter
The Goods: Drugstore beauty products that are appropriate for the season and for your beauty profile.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser: ($.42)  Since I mostly deal with dry skin in the winter, I feel like this probably would've been better in my last box.

Lady Gaga Fame: ($.40)  It always surprises me when I like a celebrity fragrance, but I kind of like this one.  I don't like it enough that I'd buy a bottle of it, but I'll wear the sample at least.

Dove Go Fresh Body Wash: ($.45)  Body wash is one of those things that I either am completely out of or completely drowning in.  I'll stash this somewhere in hopes that the "travel" aspect of the size will be useful sometime soon. ;)

Schwarzkopf essence ULTIME Omega Repair Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner: ($.88 each)  I've seen Schwarzkopf's got2Be brand in stores for years but I feel like I haven't seen their own brand here until recently.  I have no idea how to pronounce their name, but the products smell great.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara: ($6.82)  I've never been impressed with cosmetics that claim to make lashes grow.  I'm pretty stuck on Urban Decay Perversion, anyway.

There were also several coupons included, as well as a foil packet sample I seem to have already lost.

Total Value: $9.43ish

Winter 2014 Walmart Beauty Box

The Box: Walmart Beauty
The Price: $5 every quarter
The Goods: Drugstore beauty products that are appropriate for the season and for your beauty profile.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color -  Maple Kiss: ($4.97)  Browns aren't really my thing when it comes to lip color.  I think they sent me a brown lip color in the last one, too.

L'Oreal Oleo Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner: ($1.64 each)  "Oleo Therapy" makes me feel like I'm going to be washing my hair with margarine. Not a very appealing notion.

Olay Fresh Effects Everything Off!: ($1.11)  I'm pretty partial to Burt's Bees wipes, but these get great reviews.

Jergens BB Body - Light: ($1.47)  I've tried this before.  I still can't tell what makes it different from a regular lotion, but it does moisturize well.

Nivea Cocoa Butter Body Lotion: (Free Sample)

 Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder Coupon:

 Total Value: $10.83

This quarter's box was about half the value of the Fall box.  I'm not quite as impressed with this one, but for $5 I can't really complain *that* much.

Fall 2014 Walmart Beauty Box

The Box: Walmart Beauty
The Price: $5 every quarter
The Goods: Drugstore beauty products that are appropriate for the season and for your beauty profile

Secret Clinical Strength Invisible Solid - Completely Clean: ($7.92)  I'm almost out of deodorant so this came at the perfect time.  I much prefer solids over gels, so this is perfect.

L'Oreal Glossy Balm - Lovely Mocha: ($6.97) I can't really pull off brown lip colors so this one sort of made me nervous.  The shade is actually a bit rosier than the packaging would suggest, so I might almost be able to pull it off.

Covergirl Glowing Nights Glosstinis - #LaserLight: ($2.97)  This glows under a black light!  I need to think up some sort of awesome manicure to do with this.  Also, somewhere to go that has black lights.

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday: ($1.20)   This scent is really sweet.  I SWEAR I've owned something like it before, but I can't quite name it.

Dove Pure Care Dry Oil: ($1.42)  Ugh.  This stuff might work miracles for all I know, but I can't get past the smell.  It's like...almond-y baby powder.  Not a fan.

Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner: ($.40 and $.42)  I've tried these before from PinchMe.  It cleaned well and didn't weigh my hair down, but wasn't really remarkable in any way.

L'Oreal Youth Code Pore Vanisher: ($.77)  I'll try anything that promises to shrink my pores.  However, I always hate when they send foil packets of products that promise results in months or even weeks.  The two uses I could get out of this sample clearly isn't going to be enough to convince me it's awesome

Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Makeup: Surprisingly enough, the lightest shade actually seems to match my skin!

Total Value: $22.07

The deodorant by itself is something I would have bought anyway and it more than covers the cost of the box.  Overall, it's pretty much what I expected from the Walmart box.  I don't really know that this screams "Fall Box," even though they made it sound like each box would be themed around the season.
