August Ipsy Glam Bag Review - Beauty Schooled

The Box: Ipsy
The Price: $10/month
The Goods: 4-5 full and deluxe-sample sized beauty products chosen based on your beauty profile.

August's theme was "Beauty Schooled."  The bag is not my favorite ever, but it is cute.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara: ($5.50)  This mascara has been *everywhere* since it was announced, so I was super excited to try it.  I didn't think it was as life-changing as they were promoting it to be, but I'd definitely consider buying the full size.  It didn't flake all day and it's also fairly easy to remove.

Here's my before and after with two coats.

Klorane Dry Shampoo - Extra Gentle with Oat Milk: ($8.99)  I wash my hair only 2-3 times a week, so dry shampoo is a staple item for me.  This one didn't absorb oils as well as Batiste, but it is the "extra gentle" version so that's probably to be expected.  The scent is pleasant and not nearly as strong as most dry shampoos.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner: ($11.25)  I was a little worried when I saw that this had a tint to it but there wasn't a noticeable color when I put it on.  I haven't tried it under foundation yet but even alone it did make my pores look much smaller and my skin much smoother.

Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo Lip Balm - Orange: ($5.50)  This lip balm smells delicious.  It's kind of unremarkable other than that though.

J. Cat Flying Solo Eye Shadow - Half Naked: ($2.99) I have way more neutral eye shadows than I could ever use so I've actually already passed this on to a friend.

Total Value: $34.23

I'm actually pretty happy with my selection this month.  With the exception of the eye shadow, I will use everything I received.  I'm also stoked to see that it looks like none of these companies test their products on animals!
